About: Ballet at Frame Dance is about the child’s sense of personal development and mastery of movement. Dancers learn the tradition of ballet terminology and class structure as they practice positions, combinations, and musicality while building strength, balance, and the joy of moving independently and as a group. 

Dress Code: Long hair pulled back. No loose clothes or jewelry. Girls – Leotard, any color. Ballet shoes and tights in pink or flesh tones (girls) or socks. Boys – Cotton or athletic shorts and t-shirt. Black ballet shoes with socks.

Dates: May 31-August 14.

Our summer classes are available on a drop-in basis that lets families select when and how often their child attends.  

Cost:  $25 single drop-in; class passes are 4 for $100, 8 for $175, and 12 for $250

Ages: 4-6 years

About: Frame Dance classes are designed to be fun and impactful, teaching young children to notice and control how their bodies move through space. Little dancers build brains and bodies as they practice initiating their own ideas and actions in movement.

About: This class focuses on motor skill development, age-appropriate creative decision-making, and musicality. Through movement instruction, imagination, games, and props, dancers explore space and motion as they develop awareness and confidence as movers.

About: As the first classes that students take on their own, Frame Dance classes are designed to be fun and instructive, teaching students to understand and use their bodies and their space. Students learn to communicate with respect, to develop artistically as individuals and as an ensemble – finding, articulating, and combining ideas and actions.

Family dance class teaches creativity, musicality, and coordination through carefully chosen music and props. It’s an opportunity for families to engage with each other– body, mind, and heart– through movement.

For Spring 2022 we offer a free, open-to-the-community Family Dance Party held at the Montrose Collective, 888 Westheimer (map below). Join us, and bring the whole family!
